WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. & GAITHERSBURG, Md.–VoIP Logic LLC, a leading provider of hosted and managed integrated network applications, and NexTone, together announce that VoIP Logic has completed the 50th customer deployment of NexTone’s session border controller technology.

VoIP Logic’s on demand delivery platform provides an alternative for service providers to deploy a dedicated NexTone platform without having to install software and manage hardware. Using NexTone’s Multiprotocol Session Exchange (MSX), VoIP Logic is able to offer a solution to complex call routing, network topology hiding/IP masking, SIP proxying, SIP firewall, advanced call detail records generation and collection, signaling interoperability and call media stream management.

“More and more service providers are realizing that it is possible to outsource hosting of network applications, and yet retain the control of a facilities based carrier,” said Micah Singer, founder and CEO, VoIP Logic. “VoIP Logic’s offering of globally distributed, hosted and managed products continues to resonate in the marketplace and enables partners like NexTone to achieve exponential growth.”

“VoIP Logic has created an Internet-like outsource model for carriers wishing to rapidly migrate to VOIP, that combines NexTone’s VoIP session management technology with their years of operational experience and know-how,” said Dan Dearing, VP of marketing, NexTone. “This deployment milestone is a testament to the strength of this innovative solution and the VoIP market it serves.”

An example of this partnership’s success is UK-based service provider Real Telekom. Real Telekom has constructed a VoIP network based on the NexTone MSX as their hub. VoIP Logic provides deployment, training, system administration, and support on the entire infrastructure.

“Renting capacity through VoIP Logic offered an attractive alternative to a partition model as it offered us more control: we can access and make changes to our dedicated equipment and we maintain the flexibility to interconnect with any customers and vendors we require. Additionally, the support and SLAs provided by VoIP Logic’s team of experienced and NexTone certified engineers have allowed us to adapt quickly to market changes and capitalize on short-term opportunities. The flexibility enabled by VoIP Logic business model and NexTone’s technology has significantly contributed to the company’s 800 percent growth in 2 years,” said Kanto Kandasamy, managing director, Real Telekom.

GAITHERSBURG, Md. –(July 24, 2006– NexTone Communications(R), the leader in intelligent and scalable session management solutions for IP and IMS network interconnects, today announced the company achieved record bookings in the first six months of 2006, due in large part to the rapid adoption of inter-carrier VoIP peering and enterprise session initiation protocol (SIP) trunking. The company also launched key technology initiatives including the NexTone Compatible Partner Program in conjunction with the NexTone Interoperability Lab and its Dynamic Policy Management(TM) (DPM) functionality for NexTone’s IntelliConnect(TM) System. These capabilities take on even greater importance with IMS as service providers will be required to support a diverse set of real-time services, each with their own special quality needs.

International VoIP Traffic and VoIP Peering Lead to Worldwide Growth

In the first half of 2006, NexTone experienced significant growth in carrier and enterprise markets around the globe fueled by the rapid adoption of inter-carrier VoIP peering and enterprise SIP trunking. NexTone customers, using the IntelliConnect System, carry over 50% of the world’s international VoIP traffic. Today, NexTone’s products are viewed as the de facto standard for VoIP and IMS peering: 75% of GSMA carriers participating in recent interoperability trials of IMS services used the NexTone IP Multimedia Exchange (IMX) to switch real-time IP multimedia traffic. Likewise, over 50 service providers who are members of the Voice Peering Fabric use NexTone to manage and route their VoIP traffic. The Voice Peering Fabric is the largest marketplace for exchanging VoIP traffic.

NexTone’s rapid growth was further fueled by the addition of 66 new service provider customers, and in the second quarter alone, NexTone increased revenues by 59% from the first quarter of 2006 and by an explosive 187% from the same quarter in 2005. Repeat customer business in the form of upgrades and expansion deployments accounted for 45% of orders. A significant portion of this growth came from Tier 1 and Tier 2 carriers moving their VoIP implementations from the lab environment to production, while existing VoIP carriers built upon their wholesale service offering with new SIP-based retail services.

“In the last six months NexTone has successfully leveraged the momentum we experienced in 2005 by steadily increasing our customer base, with deployments by leading international communications companies, such as Cable & Wireless,” said Malik Khan, chairman and chief executive officer for NexTone. “Today, over 500 carriers and enterprises globally trust their VoIP interconnects to NexTone. The NexTone Compatible Partner Program, the NexTone Interoperability Lab, and NexTone University are all examples of our leadership and commitment to further the development of the IP industry. We believe NexTone is well positioned to continue its sales momentum and leadership for the rest of 2006.”

In addition to its record growth in sales, NexTone expanded its executive staff in the first half of 2006 with the appointment of Yousef Javadi as president and chief operating officer. The company also added telecommunications industry veterans Rocco DiCarlo and Larry Schessel to expand its technology leadership team. NexTone’s industry accolades also grew with the receipt of Network World’s “Clear Choice Test Award” and the Maryland Technology Champions Award. NexTone was also selected as a finalist for the “Hottest Venture Capital Deal” by The Northern Virginia Technology Council.

In 2006, NexTone enhanced its worldwide corporate infrastructure to better serve its rapidly growing customer base. NexTone doubled the size of its worldwide sales team and its total workforce grew by 65%. The company expanded its headquarters floor space by 30% to create the NexTone Interoperability Lab and accommodate the success of NexTone University. NexTone also tripled the size of its London office and added a new office in Miami. In April, NexTone announced its ISO 9001:2000 certification for the company’s quality management system. NexTone attained certification in under six months, due to the company’s focus on quality and its mature quality processes. This achievement is far shorter than the 9-18 months typically required for certification.

Product and Services Innovation Advances IP Services Market and IMS

The first half of 2006 proved to be a period of innovation for NexTone’s suite of session management solutions. NexTone achieved these technology milestones:

– In March, NexTone’s Multiprotocol Session Exchange (MSX) successfully passed the most call-intensive attack test plan executed against any single session border controller (SBC) tested by CT Labs, an independent testing facility. In a reliability test, the NexTone MSX successfully processed over 18.7 million legitimate SIP calls in a 62-hour period while rejecting a SIP-specific denial-of-service (DoS) attack.

– In April, NexTone surpassed its competition in the SBC market by being named Network World’s “Clear Choice Test Award” winner for the publication’s enterprise SBC test. NexTone’s MSX, coupled with its Real-time Session Manager (RSM), was rated the best of the large enterprise-focused SBCs that Network World tested.

– In June, NexTone launched its Dynamic Policy Management functionality for its IntelliConnect System, which allows operators to automatically control interconnects used by real-time sessions. This patent-pending technology is key for service providers as they scale their VoIP and IMS offerings by optimizing service quality, availability, and network capacity.

– Also in June, NexTone launched its Compatible Partner Program in conjunction with its interoperability facility, the NexTone Lab. This program provides multiple levels of certification, ranging from product interoperability to turnkey solutions. The purpose of this initiative is to help service providers accelerate their deployment of VoIP and IMS services by ensuring seamless interoperability between the NexTone IntelliConnect System and other service platforms.

“NexTone has done an excellent job of anticipating the market shift that the standalone session border controller market is currently going through,” said Brian Partridge, senior analyst covering IMS infrastructure at Yankee Group. “By solving the service provider issues related to policy-driven, dynamic session management and the intelligent interconnection of IP networks, NexTone has found ways to innovate within its product portfolio and stay ahead of the curve.”

About NexTone Communications

NexTone Communications(R) provides an intelligent session management system that gives service providers instant connectivity and quality compatibility between networks to rapidly add new revenue-generating services, including real-time data, video sharing, interactive gaming, and fixed-mobile convergence. NexTone’s IntelliConnect(TM) system provides intelligent IP interconnects that enable a common way for operators to exchange, secure, monitor, control, and bill for voice and multimedia sessions flowing through IP networks. More than 500 service providers and enterprises worldwide use NexTone’s IntelliConnect(TM) system to accelerate revenue by continually managing technical complexities, optimizing business economics, and eliminating partnership hurdles. The company is headquartered in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA, with domestic and international sales offices worldwide. For more information, visit www.nextone.com/pr

NewMarket Affiliates RedMoon Inc. and Xiptel Combine Forces to Deliver First Production Wireless VoIP Business Solution

NewMarket Technology Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT) today announced launching its first Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) business service solution delivered via a broadband wireless network. The Company has implemented the wireless VoIP solution in its Dallas, Texas headquarters and plans to demonstrate the home office solution to prospective clients. The wireless VoIP solution is an exceptionally efficient telephone solution combining the savings of both a VoIP service and a wireless final mile connection. NewMarket anticipates its wireless VoIP solution will accelerate telephone service sales growth to the small and medium business market. This will provide an ideal solution for the initial implementation of telephone service in developing economic regions globally that have not had telephone service previously available.

The wireless VoIP solution represents the combined services of NewMarket affiliates RedMoon Inc. and Xiptel. NewMarket currently owns a 25% stake in RedMoon Inc. The wireless VoIP solution is delivered across RedMoon’s city-wide mesh network installed last year for the City of Addison, Texas. The City of Addison not only utilizes the city-wide mesh network for vital municipal services, but also enables the RedMoon managed service to be available on a subscription basis to its 100,000 plus citizens and daily visitors. Addison has implemented one of the nation’s first city-wide mesh networks where broadband access is available virtually anywhere in the city, from parks to restaurants to businesses (www.moonoveraddison.com). Addison is a model for the modern connected city.

Xiptel is a NewMarket subsidiary. The wireless VoIP solution is delivered through Xiptel’s turnkey VoIP service offering. Xiptel was launched in 2003 and has grown from a start-up to almost $10 million in annualized revenue. Xiptel posted its first profit in the last reported quarterly period. Xiptel provides business VoIP solutions beginning at $14.95 per month (www.xiptel.com).

“Per capita income varies directly with per capita communications,” said Philip Verges, CEO of NewMarket Technology. “Wireless VoIP is a very cost effective telephone service solution and we expect it to sell well in North America where wireless mesh networks become available. Wireless VoIP is the telephone service solution for the masses and will enable developing economic countries and regions that have never had access to telephone service to rapidly increase per capita communications. We have been simultaneously developing a sales infrastructure and refining our emerging communication technology solutions. We anticipate over $20 million in sales respectively from each of our existing operations in Latin America and Asia before the introduction of a wireless VoIP solution. The successful implementation of a wireless VoIP solution in Dallas is significant in moving us one step closer to a long-term objective of providing solutions to developing countries while building profitability for NewMarket.”

NEW DELHI, India --Nov. 16, 2005--Flextronics Software Systems (FSS), formerly Hughes Software Systems, a global end-to-end communication solutions provider, today announced that Tekelec (Nasdaq:TKLC) has chosen FSS' SS7 stacks and SIP Server Framework to develop its state-of-the-art SIP-SS7 Gateway. SIP-SS7 gateway extends the PSTN based intelligent services to the next-generation IP based VoIP subscribers.

NEW DELHI, India –Nov. 16, 2005–Flextronics Software Systems (FSS), formerly Hughes Software Systems, a global end-to-end communication solutions provider, today announced that Tekelec (Nasdaq:TKLC) has chosen FSS’ SS7 stacks and SIP Server Framework to develop its state-of-the-art SIP-SS7 Gateway. SIP-SS7 gateway extends the PSTN based intelligent services to the next-generation IP based VoIP subscribers.

Tekelec, a leading developer of telecommunications products for next-generation fixed, mobile and packet networks, is the global market share leader in network signaling. As a part of this agreement, Tekelec will use FSS’ highly stable, integrated and interoperable products to develop next-generation telecommunication solutions for the service providers worldwide.

Elaborating on the reasons for selecting FSS, Mr. Ron Delange, president and general manager of the Network Systems Group at Tekelec, said, “We needed an expert with stable, interoperable products to support our extremely stringent performance and time-to-market requirements for our SIP-SS7 gateway. FSS’ pre-integrated stacks met these requirements, and its SS7 and SIP product line enabled us to surpass our target of more than 1,000 calls per second.”

Commenting on the customer win, Mr Ajay Gupta, Asst. Vice President & Head of Products Business, Flextronics Software Systems, said, “Reduced time to market, high performance and seamless interoperability are the key factors influencing the purchase decisions of telecom equipment vendors worldwide. At FSS, we are committed to meet these stringent requirements of our customers, and the order from Tekelec is a testament of this commitment”.

Mr. Gupta added, “We are pleased that Tekelec, a globally trusted vendor with a track record of delivering high-quality, high-value signaling solutions to telecommunications operators, has chosen to work with FSS.”

The Tekelec SIP-SS7 gateway enables legacy telephony carriers to provide IP-based, next-generation solutions without surrendering their legacy infrastructure. The solution will enable service providers to extend IN services such as toll-free calling and Local Number Portability (LNP) services for networks across U.S. This platform, which provides interworking solutions, is highly scaleable to offer a whole range of new value added and innovative services for both PSTN and SIP end users.

About Flextronics Software Systems

FSS is an end-to-end communication solutions provider with over 300 customers worldwide, in the Telecom infrastructure and handsets, Service Provider, and BPO sectors. FSS offers both products (Licensable Technologies) and full spectrum outsourcing services to its customers for Wireline, Wireless, Next Generation Fixed or IP networks. Assessed at SEI-CMMI Level 5, FSS has been an ISO 9001 company since 1996.

MINNEAPOLIS --Nov. 15, 2005--GPON market leader Optical Solutions Inc. today announced that the City of Burlington, Vermont (pop. 39,000) is deploying a municipal FTTH network using Optical Solutions' FiberPath 500 GPON (gigabit passive optical network) access platform. The next-generation network will pass nearly 20,000 premises, giving both residents and business owners the opportunity to receive virtually unlimited data speed service, carrier-class quality voice, and next-generation IPTV video.

MINNEAPOLIS –Nov. 15, 2005–GPON market leader Optical Solutions Inc. today announced that the City of Burlington, Vermont (pop. 39,000) is deploying a municipal FTTH network using Optical Solutions’ FiberPath 500 GPON (gigabit passive optical network) access platform. The next-generation network will pass nearly 20,000 premises, giving both residents and business owners the opportunity to receive virtually unlimited data speed service, carrier-class quality voice, and next-generation IPTV video.

The Burlington deployment is a major coup for city officials who struggled for many years - against heavy lobbying by opposing service providers - to change the state’s charter to allow a municipal telecommunications operation.

“By building and operating our own state-of-the-art telecommunications utility we’re introducing more choices to the marketplace, and we’re also nurturing our city’s highly artistic and entrepreneurial culture,” said Burlington Telecom Director Tim Nulty. “Greater than one out of 10 people in Burlington operate a home-based business, and many more - such as graphic artists, software engineers - work remotely from home one or more days out of the week. OSI’s FiberPath 500 system is ideal for large e-file sharing, video streaming, gaming and more. And the best part is we can offer this superior service at 10 - 20 percent less than what the competition charges.”

Now in its first phase of deployment, Burlington Telecom is currently testing services and expects to initiate the complete triple-play to 2,400 homes and businesses by the first of the New Year. The city will seek additional capital lease financing before building out its FTTH network to remaining dwellings in 2006.

“We studied various network architectures and visited many sites - including Optical Solutions’ deployment in Bristol, Virginia - before ultimately selecting GPON,” Nulty said. “The FiberPath 500 system is the most cost-effective and flexible way for the city to build an advanced network because unlike an active electronics system, passive optics allow us to build the underlying network without having to invest in the electronics at the side of the home until someone signs up for services. Moreover, with GPON, we do not have to invest in or maintain outdoor enclosures that require active power and climate control.”

Optical Solutions’ FiberPath 500 system is the industry frontrunner in GPON access solutions. FiberPath 500 offers superlative bandwidth for delivery of advanced services, including symmetrical high-speed data service, IPTV and VoIP, as well as traditional carrier-class voice service - e.g. TDM, POTS, T-1s, E911. The FiberPath 500 system is fully compliant with ITU FSAN standards, and is the market leader in FTTH-based IPTV deployments.

“We are very pleased to be part of this landmark FTTH deployment in Burlington, and we’re excited about the many ways in which our GPON system will be leveraged - from allowing local musicians and film producers to air their concerts and films on a dedicated city arts channel, to giving subscribers static IP addresses so friends around town can join in robust online game play,” said Optical Solutions President and CEO Mike Dagenais. “Burlington is a shining example of how FTTH can enhance quality of life and commerce in a community.”

About Optical Solutions

Optical Solutions is accelerating the transition from legacy to IP-based services in the last mile. The FiberPath(R) fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) system revolutionizes the delivery of IPTV, and leads the industry in triple-play voice, video and data deployments. Optical Solutions’ family of products uses industry standard GPON to deliver incomparable bandwidth to homes and the broader community. Optical Solutions’ primary customers are independent operators and major system suppliers. For more information please visit www.opticalsolutions.com

Empirix(R) Inc., the leading provider of testing and monitoring solutions for VoIP, contact center and Web technologies, today announced that it has partnered with Wily Technology to provide customers with integrated solutions for ensuring the quality and performance of Java-based application environments. Empirix has joined the new Wily Integration Network (WIN) program, enabling the company to assure customers that Empirix Web testing and monitoring products integrate with Wily Introscope(R), a leading application performance management and diagnostics solution.

Together, Empirix and Wily can provide very deep insight into the customer experience that helps IT staff identify and eliminate problems in mission-critical applications to improve overall business performance.

“As Java adoption for mission-critical applications continues to grow, we’ve seen enterprises struggling to ensure the quality and performance of these new, complex architectures,” said Joe Fernandes, Director of Product Management at Empirix. “Tightly integrating our e-TEST suite and OneSight solutions with Wily’s IntroScope allows Empirix customers to supplement application performance data with deep-dive diagnostics and root-cause analysis.
Wily’s WIN program provides a framework for partners to verify the technical readiness of solutions that complement or extend the value of Wily Introscope. To join the WIN program, partners must verify their software will easily integrate with Introscope to deliver additional value to joint customers. By ensuring best-of-breed partners like Empirix have compatible solutions, the WIN program ensures joint customers can expand their overall application management capabilities with confidence when selecting a partner to complement Introscope. After completing Wily’s verification process, partners can market and promote their solutions using Wily’s WIN-certified logo.

(”i2Telecom”) (OTCBB:ITUI), a pioneer in ultra-portable Voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) products and services, today announced that its revenues for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, are expected to rise more than 95% to approximately $521,000, compared with $266,230 in the second quarter and $138,944 in the first quarter of 2005.

“We are pleased to report that the rate at which we are signing up new subscribers for our VoIP services has accelerated in recent weeks. The monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by approximately 30% in the quarter ended September 30, 2005 when compared with the second quarter,” stated Paul Arena, Chief Executive Officer of i2Telecom International, Inc. “The VoiceStick(TM) continues to generate a high level of enthusiasm among consumers and within the VoIP community due to its ability to deliver true ‘portability’ of voice communications on a global scale.”

“A number of the marketing programs and strategic relationships announced earlier this year are gaining traction and we currently expect a 100%-plus increase in fourth quarter revenues when compared with third quarter levels,” continued Arena. “Based on our current sales pipeline, we expect to show another strong increase in the fourth quarter.”
