Spanlink Announces Ongoing Momentum with More Than 15 New Enterprise VoIP Projects; Organizations Will Use Spanlink Solutions to Realize Service and Cost Efficiencies
MINNEAPOLIS–Spanlink Communications, a leader in customer interaction solutions that leverage VoIP technology, showed significant momentum with new IP Communications contracts with more than 15 notable organizations, including Molina Healthcare, Adams and Reese LLP and INTRUST BANK.
A recent Yankee Group survey of VoIP adoption in contact centers indicates that more than 50% of agent positions in North America will be VoIP-based by 2008. In line with this growth trend, Spanlink is establishing a footprint in the enterprise IP Communications space as more organizations are realizing the benefits of the technology and how it can increase their customer service and benefit their bottom line. Leveraging VoIP technology to improve contact center operations and communications, for example, enables organizations to handle calls quickly, consistently and efficiently, regardless of where a customer call is routed.
Spanlink provided an IP Communications solution to get Adams and Reese LLP up and running in a Baton Rouge location when their New Orleans operation was not accessible following Hurricane Katrina.
“We contacted Spanlink the day after Hurricane Katrina to start the recovery process. Spanlink shipped the infrastructure to our Baton Rouge location overnight and restored our systems immediately. This allowed our firm to be productive and out in front of the competition,” said David Erwin, chief information officer of Adams and Reese LLP.
“Seamless service is always our main priority, and VoIP technology was the next logical step in achieving this,” said TR Goering, senior vice president, operations and technology, INTRUST BANK. “Spanlink’s results-oriented IP communications solutions will enable us to establish consistent and reliable communication for optimal service.”
“Our vision for the IP Communications project was to establish a consistent way to reach Molina. This was accomplished by aligning multiple sites and networks into one unified network. We had a very aggressive timeline to work with, but there was a great deal to be gained by integrating our voice and data communications functions,” said Larry Santucci, director of enterprise services at Molina Healthcare. “We are grateful to have found in Spanlink a partner that was able to translate that vision into a strong technical solution that addresses our business goals, which are consistent service, streamlined costs and a strong foundation for future growth. Converging voice and data onto a single network allows us to deploy applications across the enterprise now and in the future, to take advantage of advanced technologies to meet Molina’s business needs. As time goes by, this decision will enable us to do much, much more over our own infrastructure.”
The contracts are the latest in a significant growth period for Spanlink, which saw its sales rise to $31 million in 2004 from $19 million in 2003. As the enterprise IP Communications market continues to expand, Spanlink expects 50% growth in 2005.
“Spanlink is helping organizations realize the transforming benefits of VoIP and the new opportunities it provides to improve business,” said Brett Shockley, Spanlink chief executive officer. “We’re seeing growing demand for IP Communications solutions because they directly address our customers’ needs - providing efficient and reliable service in smarter ways.”
