Viper Networks & Asian High Tech in Joint Venture Talks
SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nov. 23, 2005–Viper Networks (OTC:VPER) CEO Farid Shouekani announced today that Viper Networks and Asian High Technology Corporation of Manila in the Philippines have entered into negotiations to form a joint venture to market and operate Viper’s VoIP products and services in the Philippines.
Mr. Shouekani commented, “The Philippine National Telecommunications Commission has recently legalized VoIP for use by Philippine citizens and businesses, which opens up a new market with almost unlimited potential. Under the proposed agreement, Viper Networks would own 40% of the Joint Venture, the maximum allowed by Philippine law.”
Mr. Shouekani continued, “Asian High Technology Corporation (AHTC) is a well established telecommunications company in the Philippines, with strong ties to telephone companies, ISPs and businesses throughout the Philippines; plus they have a trained staff of telecom engineers, installers and sales already working the market today. The Philippines market has 80 million citizens which make more than 400 billion minutes of International and long distance calls each year.”
Mr. Shouekani concluded, “The proposed Joint Venture partners are presently negotiating co-location agreements with three telephone companies in the Philippines to insure optimum service quality and reduce costs which would lower the barriers to entering this lucrative market.”
